Anna Caig – Freelance Communications Consultant

Anna Caig has over 20 years of strategic communications and PR experience, specialising in corporate reputation management, public sector comms leadership, crisis communications and strategic marketing campaigns.

She is a freelance communications consultant and media trainer, as well as running a business training writers and other creative people to do their own branding and publicity.

Anna has worked with clients from Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) to The University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC). A former MA Journalism tutor and Head of Communications, she has led the reputation management, media relations and crisis comms strategy on many high profile and sensitive issues.

She has trained media spokespeople to deliver information in the most challenging and high pressure situations, as well as promote positive good news and build an audience.

“Anna's experience and practical approach meant that she was up and running immediately, and able to deliver to a high standard. As a manager already under pressure, it made a huge difference to me to be able to leave things in her capable hands, and know that she'd make sensible recommendations and create clear, informative communications materials.

“Importantly Anna also felt part of the team immediately, shared our values and was a pleasure to work with. Having crossed paths with Anna in her previous role at Sheffield City Council - one of our regional partners - I already had a lot of respect for Anna's work, and that respect has only been strengthened having worked more directly with her."
